Customer Contact Specialist – Temporary (6‑12 months)

About the role

We are looking for a Customer Contact Specialist to join a busy, supportive team in Burnley on a 6‑12 month temporary contract. The role is ideal for someone with strong customer service experience who thrives in a fast‑paced, service‑led environment.

Key responsibilities

• Handle incoming calls related to technical queries and account issues.
• Resolve customer concerns quickly and effectively.
• Provide clear advice and guidance to customers.
• Process payments securely over the phone.
• Update and maintain accurate customer records on internal systems.
• Proactively contact customers regarding account alerts.
• Support troubleshooting and resolution of device‑related issues.
• Prepare and issue customer communications in line with GDPR requirements.
• Carry out security checks during calls and close alerts in internal systems.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a customer service or contact‑centre environment.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to remain calm and make decisions under pressure.
• Excellent communication skills, especially in challenging situations.
• Well‑organised with the ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines.
• Professional, flexible and proactive approach; experience working to targets is desirable.
