Customer Delivery Driver (Part Time)

About the role

Sainsbury's is hiring a Customer Delivery Driver for its Uxbridge store (UB8 1QW) on a fixed-term assignment of 24 hours per week, ending 1 January 2027. You will deliver customer orders from the store to customers' doorsteps in a 3.5 tonne refrigerated van. The rate is £16.04 per hour.

Key responsibilities

• Drive a 3.5 tonne refrigerated van to deliver groceries on time and in good condition
• Check the van is roadworthy, clean and organised and that customers' shopping is secure before leaving
• Follow planned routes and drive safely in varied locations, traffic, weather and road conditions
• Move containers weighing up to 15kg and deliver to properties that may have steps, lifts or longer walks
• Keep customers informed of delays, deal with queries and changes to their order
• Help across the store when not out making deliveries

Required profile

• Over 18 with a full UK/EU driving licence held for at least 12 months and no more than 6 points
• Right to work in the UK
• Comfortable driving a larger vehicle and working in a fast-paced, physical environment
• Able to use initiative, solve problems and learn route and delivery technology
