Customer Renewal Adviser - Commercial & Schemes (Fixed Term)

About the role

Howden's Commercial & Schemes team is looking for a friendly, customer-focused Customer Renewal Adviser to support its specialist landlord insurance brand, Protect My Let. You will work with an established portfolio of clients, helping them find the right insurance solutions and ensuring an exceptional experience at every stage. The role is a fixed-term contract to provide maternity cover, open to full-time or part-time hours, based in either the Colchester or Cheltenham office.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain positive relationships with customers, insurers and colleagues
• Contact existing clients about their policy renewals
• Understand customers' needs and identify the most suitable insurance solutions
• Handle enquiries promptly, professionally and accurately by phone and email
• Process renewals, policy adjustments and related administration
• Prepare and issue policy documentation
• Work towards individual and team objectives while maintaining excellent customer outcomes
• Identify opportunities to improve customer cover and add value

Required profile

• Experience in a customer-facing, sales, renewals or administrative role is ideal
• Confidence communicating with customers by phone and building rapport
• Positive, proactive and customer-focused approach
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• GCSEs (or equivalent) including Maths and English; A levels desirable but not essential
• Cert CII qualification desirable but not required

Required skills

• Good literacy, numeracy and IT skills
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
