Customer Service Advisor – £28,000 Temp-to-Perm

About the role

We are seeking a Customer Service Advisor to join a friendly, supportive team in Guildford. This temporary‑to‑permanent position will be the primary point of contact for customers, engineers and service partners, ensuring enquiries and service requests are managed efficiently from start to finish.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to customer enquiries and resolve issues via phone and email.
• Coordinate engineer appointments and arrange prompt service visits.
• Liaise with external service partners and internal technical teams to ensure job completion.
• Monitor outstanding jobs, chase paperwork and invoices, and follow jobs through to completion.
• Process job updates and maintain accurate records in the company system.
• Arrange parts deliveries and collections with the warehouse and engineers.
• Provide customers with product and service information and support warranty administration.
• Assist with engineer training event administration and provide general administrative support to the wider team.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a customer service, support or call‑centre environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organisational ability with great attention to detail.
• Proactive, positive attitude and ability to prioritise a busy workload.
• Confidence communicating with customers, colleagues and external partners.
• Team‑focused yet capable of working independently.
• Experience coordinating engineers or service appointments is advantageous but not essential.
