Customer Service Assistant – Retail Store

About the role

We are looking for a Customer Service Assistant to join our One Stop store. You will work in a fast‑paced retail environment, delivering friendly service while supporting daily store operations.

Key responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service and encourage feedback through the ‘have your say’ survey.
• Stock shelves, replenish inventory, and maintain a clean, organised store layout.
• Process payments at tills, operate self‑service checkouts and assist customers with any issues.
• Work across all store areas, including online orders, vending, and stock routines.
• Follow health, safety and security procedures, including age‑restricted product policies.
• Clock in and out accurately and adhere to all company policies.
• Assist with post‑office duties where applicable, subject to background checks.
• Step in to run the shift in the absence of a Shift Leader or Store Manager.

Required profile

• Passion for serving customers with pride and a natural service mindset.
• Willingness to follow training, safety guidelines and company policies.
• Ability to work collaboratively, create an inclusive atmosphere and represent the brand values.
• Reliability in attendance, punctuality and accurate time‑keeping.

Required skills

• POS system operation and cash handling.
