Customer Service Coordinator

About the role

The Customer Service Coordinator will join Glyndebourne’s Ticketing and Membership Services Team to deliver high‑quality support for festival ticket sales and member services. Working on a rotating roster, the role combines front‑desk interaction on show days with back‑office processing of transactions, payments and membership administration.

Key responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service across ticketing, membership, information and online support channels.
• Manage the full ticketing transaction cycle – payments, exchanges, reprints and resales – from enquiry to dispatch.
• Process daily financial transactions using the Tessitura system and resolve issues with the Finance Supervisor.
• Deliver end‑to‑end membership services, including onboarding, renewals, direct‑debit setup and resignations.
• Operate the Front Desk on performance days, issuing tickets, answering queries and supporting visitors.
• Record activity for Glyndebourne’s member, learning and engagement initiatives.
• Collaborate with other departments to exceed the overall customer experience.
• Control access at Stage Door and coordinate internal and external courier requirements.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a fast‑paced sales or customer‑service environment.
• High attention to detail and strong organisational abilities.
• Excellent communication skills across face‑to‑face, phone and written channels.
• Flexibility to work a seven‑day roster and adapt to changing priorities.
• Commitment to a target‑driven, service‑focused workplace.

Required skills

• Working knowledge of customer databases and web technologies.
• Proficiency with the Tessitura ticketing system.
• Familiarity with Box Office and general sales procedures.
• Keyboard typing speed of at least 50 wpm with high accuracy.
