Cyber Security Consultant

About the role

We are seeking a Cyber Security Consultant to deliver security services for a portfolio of customers, focusing on Azure, Microsoft 365 and core security operations. The role involves working closely with clients to understand their security needs, improve their posture and implement practical solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Engage with customers to gather security requirements and translate them into actionable plans.
• Provide consultancy on Microsoft security technologies, especially Azure/Entra ID and Microsoft Defender.
• Support security operations by monitoring and responding to Defender alerts and incidents.
• Manage the threat and vulnerability management platform, run regular scans, analyse results and drive remediation.
• Deliver practical recommendations to enhance customer security posture.
• Contribute to the creation and maintenance of security playbooks, processes and procedures.
• Communicate risks, recommendations and outcomes clearly to stakeholders.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience with Azure AD / Entra ID (identity, access, Conditional Access) and Microsoft Defender.
• Experience using vulnerability scanning tools and SIEM platforms such as Microsoft Sentinel.
• Strong understanding of core security principles including IAM, MFA, least‑privilege and device security.
• Background in a multi‑customer or MSP environment.
• Familiarity with compliance frameworks (GDPR, ISO 27001, Cyber Essentials) is a plus.
