Cyber Security Engineer – London/Norwich

About the role

The Security Engineer joins Wipro’s Cyber Defence Centre in London/Norwich, reporting to the Security Engineering Manager. You will provide technical and functional support for security tooling, ensure the health of controls, and protect the environment against current and emerging threats.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain overall security integrity of Wipro’s environment.
• Improve secure CI/CD pipelines and advise developers on security best‑practice.
• Support delivery of projects and change programmes, ensuring alignment with the security architecture framework.
• Provide technical assurance and act as a subject‑matter expert for compliance commitments.
• Configure security platforms to optimise protection and extend SIEM coverage.
• Review and approve all production changes.
• Develop and enforce technical security standards, adhering to PCI/DSS and other regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• Strong communication skills to interact with suppliers, project managers and programme leads.
• Ability to translate deep technical concepts for non‑technical stakeholders.
• Proactive attitude with ownership of security outcomes.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with Microsoft Defender.
• Hands‑on experience with Microsoft Purview.
• Implementation and management of Zero Trust architectures.
• SIEM configuration and coverage improvement.
• CI/CD pipeline security integration.
• Incident handling and fine‑tuning of security tools.
• Knowledge of PCI/DSS compliance.
• Understanding of network security architecture.
