About the role

Amazon Web Services is looking for an enthusiastic Data Centre Facility Manager to lead the operation and maintenance of its Oxford data centre. You will be responsible for ensuring the safety, security and availability of critical infrastructure while driving continuous improvement across all facility processes.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day data centre operations, guaranteeing 24/7 availability and reliability.
• Lead, manage and develop a team of engineers and technicians, providing technical and leadership guidance.
• Coordinate all aspects of facility maintenance, including power distribution, cooling systems, fire suppression and security.
• Ensure compliance with and exceed Health & Safety standards throughout the site.
• Drive innovation and simplification of processes and procedures.
• Manage relationships with external vendors and service providers.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing large‑scale data centre facilities.
• Strong leadership and people‑management skills, with a track record of hiring and developing technical teams.
• Demonstrated commitment to safety, security and operational excellence.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, technically complex environment.
