Delivery Postie with Driving – Permanent (Oban)

About the role

Join Royal Mail as a Delivery Postie in Oban, delivering letters and parcels to the local community. You will work 37 hours per week, Monday‑Saturday, handling a range of items in all weather conditions.

Key responsibilities

• Collect and sort mail at the delivery office.
• Deliver items to residential and business addresses on an assigned route.
• Ensure accurate record‑keeping of deliveries.
• Maintain vehicle and equipment in good condition.
• Provide friendly customer service to recipients.

Required profile

• Upbeat, independent and self‑motivated.
• Organised, punctual and ready to deliver great customer service.
• Enjoy walking for long periods and working outdoors in any weather.
• Strong sense of community and pride in work.
• Hold a full UK manual driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points.

Required skills

• Valid UK manual driving licence (≤6 penalty points).
