Department Manager – Fashion Retail

About the role

We are looking for a dynamic Department Manager to lead a high‑performing fashion retail store in West Thurrock. You will be responsible for visual merchandising, driving sales, and delivering an exceptional customer experience in a fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain strong visual merchandising standards and commercial appeal.
• Drive customer service excellence and inspire the management team.
• Oversee people, service, operations and product management.
• Generate sales, manage KPIs, budgets and P&L.
• Train, coach and develop staff through one‑to‑one sessions and succession planning.

Required profile

• Current experience as a Visual Manager, Assistant Manager, Floor Manager, Store Manager or Department Manager.
• 2‑3 years of retail visual and management experience.
• Passion for visual merchandising with an eye for detail.
• Experience in fashion retail is desirable but not essential.
• Proven ability to lead teams and exceed sales targets, especially in stores with turnover over £500k.
