Deputy Director of Quality

About the role

The Deputy Director of Quality will support the Director of Quality and Improvement in delivering the strategic plans of the Quality Directorate. This senior position focuses on enhancing patient safety, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement across the Trust.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee implementation of the Quality Directorate’s strategic initiatives.
• Drive improvements in patient safety and ensure adherence to NHS governance standards, including PSIRF.
• Collaborate with clinical and operational teams to embed improvement methodologies.
• Monitor regulatory compliance and report performance metrics to senior leadership.
• Represent the Quality function in Trust-wide projects and external stakeholder engagements.

Required profile

• Extensive leadership experience within healthcare settings.
• Strong understanding of NHS governance, quality frameworks and patient safety reporting.
• Proven ability to build relationships, take ownership and deliver results across a diverse portfolio.
• Experience working across geographically dispersed teams.
