Deputy Financial Controller – 12‑Month Fixed‑Term (Hybrid)

About the role

We are seeking a Deputy Financial Controller on a 12‑month fixed‑term contract to join a growing organisation in Bristol. Working closely with the Group Financial Controller, you will help drive accurate financial reporting, ensure statutory and regulatory compliance, and support the integration of newly acquired businesses while operating in a hybrid working model.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements.
• Maintain statutory and regulatory compliance across the group.
• Manage external audits and coordinate with auditors and internal stakeholders.
• Assist with the financial integration of newly acquired entities.
• Lead and develop a small finance team, improving processes and internal controls.

Required profile

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified.
• 2‑5 years post‑qualification experience, preferably with an audit background.
• Strong technical accounting and financial reporting knowledge.
• Proven experience managing audits and working with multiple stakeholders.
• Proactive, detail‑oriented and confident in leading a team.
