Desarrollador Host (COBOL)

About the role

We are looking for a Host Developer with up to two years of experience in COBOL to join our multinational technology consulting team. The role focuses on mainframe software development, supporting digital acceleration projects for large enterprises and public organisations.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse business technology requirements and design robust COBOL solutions.
• Develop, test and deliver mainframe applications using CICS, JCL and DB2‑SQL.
• Maintain batch processes and ensure proper scheduling with CONTROL‑M.
• Use version control (ChangeMan) and follow Agile practices, including Jira for task management.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to guarantee high‑quality deliverables.

Required profile

• Up to 2 years of experience programming in COBOL.
• Basic knowledge of CICS, JCL and mainframe utilities (file creation, sorting, copying, matching).
• Familiarity with DB2‑SQL, batch processing and CONTROL‑M.
• Experience with ChangeMan version control and Altamira or Alnova architecture.
• Understanding of Agile methodologies and Jira.
