Design Approver

About the role

The Design Approver leads design investigations and creates technical solutions for aerospace projects. You will act as the primary design signatory, mentor the engineering team, and ensure all work‑packages meet customer, regulatory, and airworthiness standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and approve technical solutions and compliance documentation for work‑packages.
• Analyse customer tasking documents and define technical inputs for bids and proposals.
• Identify technical risks, propose mitigations, and ensure design definitions meet all requirements.
• Generate, review, and sign project deliverables, reports, and test specifications.
• Mentor engineers, create training material, and support technical/customer reviews.

Required profile

• Engineering degree or apprenticeship to HNC level.
• Prior design approval experience in the aerospace industry (e.g., A1020).
• Familiarity with Airbus design methods and wing primary structure design.

Required skills

• CAD: CATIA V5, DPDS, Primes, PDM Link, PASS, VPM.
• MS Office proficiency.
