About the role
We are looking for an enthusiastic Design Technology Teacher to join a thriving secondary school in Caterham. The role starts in September 2026 (or ASAP) and offers a permanent position within a supportive multi‑academy trust.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver engaging Design Technology lessons to Key Stages 3 and 4.
- Plan and develop a dynamic curriculum that encourages creativity and problem‑solving.
- Use assessment data to tailor support for all learners.
- Contribute to departmental development and collaborative planning.
- Participate in enrichment activities and wider school life.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with strong subject knowledge in Design & Technology.
- Passion for delivering high‑quality, innovative lessons.
- Effective classroom management and a reflective teaching approach.
- Commitment to teamwork and a positive school culture.
Required skills
- Design & Technology curriculum planning.
- Assessment‑driven teaching strategies.
- Use of practical workshop equipment and safety procedures.
