About the role
The school is seeking a Design Technology Technician to support practical learning in its modern Design Technology department. You will ensure the workshop runs smoothly, safely, and is ready for daily lessons.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare materials, tools and equipment for practical lessons.
- Maintain workshop machinery and enforce health & safety regulations.
- Assist teachers during practical sessions as required.
- Manage stock levels, order consumables and keep inventories up‑to‑date.
- Keep the workshop organised, safe and efficient.
- Support the creation of displays and departmental resources.
Required profile
- Previous experience in a Design Technology workshop, engineering environment or educational setting.
- Good knowledge of workshop tools, machinery and health & safety procedures.
- Strong organisational and communication abilities.
- Proactive, reliable and enthusiastic about supporting students and staff.
