Desktop Support Technician (Tech 2) – Leeds

About the role

We are seeking a Technician 2 to act as the primary on‑site point of contact for desktop support at our Leeds location. You will deliver hardware installations, device swaps, automated builds and desk‑side assistance while maintaining accurate service records.

Key responsibilities

• Provide desktop hardware installation, swaps and assist users as needed.
• Initiate automated builds and simple scripted post‑login configuration on laptops.
• Manage hardware repairs through customer‑defined warranty routes.
• Deliver desk‑side support and handle walk‑up software and hardware queries.
• Maintain system records, primarily in ServiceNow, and follow all procedures and scripts.
• Conduct proactive scheduled checks of desks and meeting rooms to maximise availability.
• Support meeting‑room equipment, diagnose faults and coordinate escalations with Team Leaders.

Required profile

• Ability to work independently or as part of an on‑site team.
• Strong adherence to documented procedures and escalation protocols.
• Willingness to work on‑site in Leeds, Monday‑Thursday, 09:00‑17:30.

Required skills

• Desktop hardware installation and device swap experience.
• Familiarity with automated build tools and basic scripting for laptop configuration.
• Proficiency in using ServiceNow for ticket and record management.
• Knowledge of meeting‑room AV equipment troubleshooting.
