Digital Developer

About the role

Wokingham Borough Council is seeking a Digital Developer to join its Digital Innovation Team on an 18‑month fixed‑term contract. You will design, build and maintain digital solutions that support council services, working closely with business analysts and project teams to translate requirements into robust technical implementations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, customise and maintain digital systems and solutions for council services.
• Translate documented business requirements into technical specifications, implementing workflows, forms, automation, integrations and enhancements.
• Provide ongoing technical support for Digital and CRM platforms, diagnosing issues, managing defects and optimising performance.
• Collaborate with Business Analysts, service leads and project teams to design solutions that improve service delivery and customer experience.
• Document all configurations, custom code, integrations and change processes in line with organisational and industry standards.
