Director AI Platform & Engineering

About the role

The Director, Agentic AI Platform & Engineering is responsible for the core technical platform that powers the company’s AI agents. Working hands‑on, you will own the AWS‑based automation stack (Amazon Bedrock, AgentCore and related services) and collaborate with infrastructure, security and data teams to deliver reliable, scalable solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain the enterprise‑wide Amazon Bedrock / AgentCore platform.
• Develop runtime governance components such as guardrails, evaluation harnesses, automated regression testing, observability, logging and versioning of prompts, tools and models.
• Create reusable agent templates and engineering patterns to accelerate delivery while reducing cost and risk.
• Define and manage the tool/action architecture, including APIs, Lambda, Step Functions and EventBridge, ensuring secure, narrow‑scope access to enterprise systems.

Required profile

• 10‑12 years of experience in software or platform engineering, with recent delivery of production LLM applications (RAG, tool‑calling, agents, evaluations).
• Deep expertise in AWS services (IAM, Lambda, Step Functions, EventBridge, CloudWatch) and infrastructure‑as‑code (Terraform or CDK).
• Strong engineering discipline with CI/CD practice.
