Dispatch Operative – Warehouse Operations

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Dispatch Operative to join our dispatch team at Pilgrims Europe in Bodmin. Reporting to the Dispatch Area Leader, you will play a vital part in ensuring the efficient receipt, storage, picking, and dispatch of stock while maintaining high health, safety, and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Load and unload trailers to and from suppliers, sites, and customers.
• Receive and transfer products using SAP handheld scanners.
• Pick products accurately according to dispatch schedules.
• Build, wrap, and secure pallets ready for loading.
• Maintain correct stock rotation at all times.
• Complete all documentation accurately and within required timeframes.
• Uphold high standards of health, safety, hygiene and correct PPE usage.
• Operate equipment safely and report any faults immediately.
• Maintain 5S standards within the dispatch area and support line‑leader duties when required.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a dispatch or warehouse environment is desirable.
• Commitment to health, safety, and quality standards.
• Strong attention to detail and reliability.
• Ability to work as part of a team and meet operational demands.
• Willingness to undertake training and refresher courses.

Required skills

• Proficient use of SAP handheld scanners.
• Ability to operate warehouse equipment safely.
