About the role
This position offers an experienced Band 6 registered general nurse the chance to work as a District Nurse in the south locality, based in Kinross. Candidates without a specialist practitioner qualification (SPQ) will be considered for a training post with full support to achieve the MSc in Advancing District Nursing.
Key responsibilities
- Provide safe, effective, patient‑centred care across the locality, covering hours from 8:30 am to 10:00 pm, seven days a week.
- Lead and support the community nursing team in delivering high‑quality services.
- Travel as required to meet service needs throughout the area.
- Drive implementation of change and improvement initiatives.
- Support the delivery of PKHSCP and align with NHS Tayside’s vision and values.
Required profile
- Registered on Sub‑part 1 (RN1 or RNA) or Sub‑part 2 (RN2) of the UK NMC Register.
- Band 6 general nurse with a specialist practitioner qualification in District Nursing (or willingness to undertake training).
- Commitment to work flexibly across a 36‑hour week.
Required skills
- Registered nursing qualification (NMC).
- Specialist practitioner qualification in District Nursing (or ability to obtain).
