Early Years Educator (Qualified/Unqualified) – Nursery

About the role

Little Dukes is seeking enthusiastic early years practitioners to join its network of independent nurseries across London, Richmond upon Thames, Brighton & Hove and Worthing. Whether you hold a Level 2/3 Early Years qualification or are eager to start a career in childcare, you will work with children aged 0‑5 in a supportive, development‑focused environment.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high‑quality care and education in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
• Plan and lead age‑appropriate activities that stimulate learning and creativity.
• Maintain a safe, nurturing setting that promotes children’s wellbeing.
• Collaborate with colleagues to ensure consistent practice and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a nursery or childcare setting (preferred but not mandatory).
• Patience, empathy and a genuine love for working with young children.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Qualified candidates must hold a Level 2/3 Early Years Educator qualification or an equivalent full early years qualification.

Required skills

• Paediatric First Aid (preferred).
• Knowledge of safeguarding and relevant childcare regulations.
