Education and Training Centre (CETC) Trainer

About the role

CIPFA is looking for an enthusiastic and engaging Trainer to join its Education and Training Centre (CETC), delivering high-quality teaching to students in the early stages of the Professional Accountancy Qualification (PAQ). The role is based in London and works hybrid, whether teaching online or face-to-face.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high-quality teaching sessions for early modules in the PAQ programme
• Facilitate engaging learning experiences in virtual and classroom settings
• Support students outside taught sessions through discussion forums, online activities, quizzes and one-to-one guidance
• Provide timely, constructive feedback on assessments
• Contribute to the development of teaching, revision and e-learning materials
• Maintain accurate student attendance, engagement and progress records

Required profile

• Experience of teaching, training or facilitating learning in a professional or academic environment
• Ability to support learners with differing needs and learning styles
• AAT Level 4 (or equivalent)
• Willingness to obtain a Level 4 Certificate in Education and Training (CET), funded by CIPFA while employed

• Strong communication and presentation skills, able to explain complex concepts clearly
• Excellent organisational and administrative skills
• Collaborative approach and enthusiasm for teamwork
