Education and Training Manager – Laboratory Medicine

About the role
The Education and Training Manager will lead the development and coordination of training and development activities for staff within the Department of Laboratory Medicine. This role ensures that education programmes are designed, delivered and evaluated across all sites, supporting staff progression and specialist registration.
Key responsibilities
- Manage and develop the local training and development needs of laboratory staff.
- Design, deliver and implement education programmes across multiple sites.
- Coach, mentor and assess staff undertaking registration and specialist portfolios.
- Monitor and support the timely progress of staff engaged in further education.
- Assist the Education, Training and Development Lead in creating and executing the department’s training strategy.
Required profile
- Experience in managing training and development within a healthcare or laboratory setting.
- Ability to design and deliver comprehensive education programmes.
- Strong coaching and mentoring capabilities.
- Knowledge of registration and specialist portfolio requirements for laboratory professionals.
