Education Lead – Pre‑hospital Training

About the role

The Education Lead will support South Western Ambulance Service in delivering high‑quality pre‑hospital patient care through innovative and effective in‑service training. Based in the North, the role may be situated in Bristol or Bridgwater and will involve both classroom and workplace learning.

Key responsibilities

• Design, deliver and assess classroom and work‑based training for ambulance staff.
• Act as an educational figurehead, promoting high standards of patient care, assessment and appropriate care pathways.
• Collaborate with the Head of Education and the education management team to plan and execute training programmes.
• Identify individual learning needs and ensure training is accessible and inclusive.
• Provide proactive leadership to foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience in delivering healthcare education or training.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to work across multiple counties and adapt training to diverse audiences.
