About the role
Join SENse Learning as an Education Mentor and provide one‑to‑one mentoring and learning support to young people with complex additional needs. You will work in students' homes and community settings, helping them build confidence, emotional regulation, and key life skills alongside academic progress.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver personalised one‑to‑one mentoring and learning support.
- Support academic subjects and holistic development in a safe, inspiring environment.
- Work flexibly with parents, carers, and schools to schedule sessions.
- Collaborate with the SENse Learning team to ensure consistent pastoral and pathways support.
Required profile
- Minimum 2 years experience working with children or young people with complex additional needs (e.g., ASC, ADHD, SEMH, EBSA, trauma, PDA, mental health).
- Background as a Support Worker, Learning Support Assistant, Teaching Assistant, Youth Worker, Personal Assistant, or similar.
- Child‑centred, holistic approach with creativity to adapt curriculum.
- Enhanced DBS (can be facilitated) and at least two professional references.
