Electrical Assembly Technician

About the role

We are seeking an Electrical Assembly Technician to join a growing engineering business in Tonbridge. You will work on bespoke automated machinery, building and wiring equipment from scratch while developing your electrical expertise.

Key responsibilities

• Assemble and wire electrical panels and complete machines using engineering drawings.
• Install electrical components, sensors, motors and control equipment.
• Assemble and connect pneumatic systems.
• Perform electrical testing and basic fault finding during build.
• Support machine testing alongside Controls Engineers.
• Identify improvements to build quality and assembly processes.
• Assist with installations and commissioning at customer sites as required.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience in electrical assembly, panel wiring or machine building.
• Background in industrial electrical installation or manufacturing/automation environments.
• Apprentice‑trained electricians looking to progress are welcome.
• Problem‑solving attitude and pride in producing quality work.
