Electrical Field Technician – National (UK)

About the role

Our client, a leading manufacturer serving construction, industrial and rail sectors, is looking for an Electrical Field Technician to provide national on‑site support for battery storage products across the UK. The role combines scheduled servicing, reactive maintenance and installations, ensuring safety, functionality and customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver national on‑site servicing and technical support for VoltHub, PowerStor and Armorgard battery storage systems.
• Perform scheduled and reactive maintenance, including electrical system checks, hardware replacements and fault diagnosis.
• Assist with the installation of battery charging and storage equipment and configure alarm and power source systems.
• Conduct fire‑risk inspections and provide training on lithium‑ion battery safety.
• Escalate major issues to internal teams and support production, engineering and ad‑hoc technical requests.

Required profile

• Experience in a technical role within construction, plant hire or facilities management.
• Multiskilled with confidence in basic electrical and mechanical work.
• Relevant trade qualifications (NVQ, City & Guilds, 17th/18th Edition, Level 2) – CSCS card preferred.
• CITB Health, Safety & Environment test desirable.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel nationwide with overnight stays.
• Strong understanding of health & safety requirements and site compliance.
