Electrical Maintenance Engineer – Industrial (2‑Shift)

About the role

We are seeking an Electrical Maintenance Engineer with a strong industrial focus to join a historic UK manufacturer of sheet lead and components. You will work on high‑tech equipment in a modern factory environment, supporting both electrical and mechanical systems on a rotating shift pattern.

Key responsibilities

• Fault finding, diagnosing and repairing industrial machinery such as furnaces, casting machines, conveyors, crushers and mixers.
• Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) to minimise breakdowns.
• Service, program and troubleshoot PLC‑controlled systems.
• Carry out mechanical repairs on motors, drives, gearboxes, pumps, valves and hydraulic circuits.
• Adhere to company health, safety and quality standards.

Required profile

• Qualified Electrical Maintenance Engineer with experience in an industrial setting.
• Proven ability to work rotating shifts (6 am‑2 pm and 2 pm‑10 pm) and commute to the Chester factory.
• Experience programming and maintaining PLCs.
• Willingness to undertake both electrical and mechanical tasks.
