Electrician – Basingstoke

About the role

Our client, an established electrical contractor serving North Hampshire, is seeking an experienced Electrician to join a close‑knit team of six. The role involves a mix of domestic, commercial and industrial projects, including new builds, refurbishments and renewable‑energy installations.

Key responsibilities

• Domestic electrical works: full/partial rewires, consumer unit upgrades, socket and switch installations, LED and smart‑home lighting, EV charger and solar PV installations, underfloor heating, home cinema, CCTV and security systems.
• Commercial & industrial works: distribution board upgrades, single‑phase and three‑phase installations, emergency lighting, trunking and cable management, data cabling, access control, backup generator and UPS installations.
• Testing, fault finding, EICR inspections, planned and reactive maintenance across all sectors.

Required profile

• Qualified Electrician (NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds or equivalent) with 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
• Full UK driving licence and ability to work at height.
• Experience in domestic, commercial and industrial environments, including solar PV and EV charger installations.
• Strong fault‑finding and diagnostic skills, comfortable with first‑fix and second‑fix work.
