Electrician – Solar Training (Field Based)

About the role

We are seeking a qualified Electrician (NVQ Level 2/3) to join a leading renewable‑energy specialist. The role is field‑based, covering sites across the South East and surrounding regions, and includes full training into commercial solar installation.

Key responsibilities

• Perform full electrical installation on large‑scale commercial solar projects from start to finish.
• Travel to assigned sites in Bristol, Swindon, Oxford, Reading, Salisbury, Basingstoke and surrounding areas.
• Work without a company‑provided vehicle, using personal transport and claiming mileage at 30p per mile.
• Adhere to health and safety standards and project timelines.

Required profile

• Qualified Electrician with NVQ Level 2 or Level 3.
• Motivated to receive training and qualifications in the solar sector (NVQ Level 3, AM2, BPEC Solar).
• Willingness to cover regional areas and stay away from home when required.
• Desire to progress to a Lead Electrician role.

• Salary £35,000 – £45,000 per year.
