Electro Mechanical Assembler / Tester

About the role

Our client, a well‑established engineering company in the HVAC sector, is seeking an experienced Electro‑Mechanical Assembler / Tester to join their production team. You will be responsible for assembling, wiring and testing high‑quality equipment to meet tight production schedules.

Key responsibilities

• Assemble mechanical and electrical units to specification.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics.
• Build control panels and complete wiring according to drawings.
• Carry out dead and live electrical testing to ensure products are ready for dispatch.
• Inspect your own work and report any quality issues.
• Use hand and air tools safely and effectively.
• Maintain high standards of health & safety, quality and housekeeping.
• Support other production areas when required.

Required profile

• City & Guilds or NVQ Electrical qualification.
• Knowledge of the 17th Edition Electrical Wiring Regulations (or equivalent).
• Previous electro‑mechanical assembly and electrical testing experience.
• Ability to read electrical schematics.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
