Employment Lawyer (4+ PQE) – Hybrid, Newcastle

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Employment Lawyer to join a respected regional law firm in Newcastle upon Tyne. The successful candidate will work on a diverse portfolio of both contentious and advisory employment matters for a broad commercial client base.

Key responsibilities

• Provide day‑to‑day HR and employment law advice to employer clients.
• Manage Employment Tribunal claims from inception to resolution.
• Draft and negotiate employment contracts, policies and settlement agreements.
• Advise on disciplinary, grievance and redundancy procedures.
• Support corporate transactions with employment law input.
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships.
• Contribute to business development and networking activities.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years post‑qualification experience in employment law (or equivalent pre‑qualification experience).
• Proven experience advising employer clients on both contentious and advisory matters.
• Excellent communication and client‑relationship skills.
• Proactive, collaborative approach with a passion for delivering high‑quality service.
