Employment Lawyer – Associate to Counsel

About the role

Our client is expanding a highly regarded Employment Team and is looking for an Employment Lawyer to join as an Associate progressing to Counsel. The role offers a blend of contentious and non‑contentious work, direct client interaction, and opportunities to contribute to training, business development, and mentoring.

Key responsibilities

• Advise clients on a wide range of employment matters, both advisory and contentious.
• Manage Employment Tribunal claims and related disputes.
• Draft and review employment contracts, policies, and documentation.
• Deliver client training sessions, seminars, and legal updates.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships.
• Contribute to business development and networking initiatives.
• Supervise and mentor junior team members where appropriate.

Required profile

• Qualified Solicitor with solid experience in Employment Law.
• Strong technical knowledge of employment legislation and practice.
• Proven ability to handle both advisory and contentious matters.
• Excellent drafting, communication and presentation abilities.
• Commercial awareness and a pragmatic problem‑solving approach.
• Effective client relationship management skills.
