Energy Engineer – Decarbonisation Projects (Hybrid, London)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Energy Engineer to join a leading energy services business tackling climate change. The role combines consultancy expertise with hands‑on project delivery across the UK’s growing decarbonisation portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver Investment Grade Audits (IGA) and Investment Grade Proposals (IGP) from feasibility through construction verification.
• Support funding applications, including Public Sector Decarbonisation Scheme (PSDS) submissions.
• Conduct energy modelling, feasibility studies and site audits across lighting, HVAC, fabric, metering, plant and renewables.
• Analyse data to produce load profiles, benchmarking reports and regression analysis.
• Calculate energy and carbon savings, costs and pay‑back periods and produce detailed technical reports with specifications and economic analysis.

Required profile

• Proven experience in energy performance contracting, consultancy or a comparable environment.
• Strong background in energy audits, reporting and investment‑grade output development.
• Practical understanding of energy conservation measures and their delivery.
• Exposure to design, construction, system operation, energy modelling or solution development.
• Membership of the Energy Institute or a similar professional body is a plus.
