About the role
We are seeking an Engineering Administrator to provide vital administrative and operational support to our multidisciplinary engineering team at Babcock Vehicle Engineering in Walsall. The role ensures smooth engineering activities, accurate documentation, and alignment with customer and company standards.
Key responsibilities
- Coordinate and prepare meeting materials, agendas, minutes and update internal databases.
- Support engineers with project administration, reports and technical documentation.
- Manage and maintain engineering documentation, records and filing systems.
- Arrange travel, process expenses and order office supplies and equipment.
- Obtain technical repair and maintenance information via vehicle manufacturer portals.
- Provide data input support into Material Requirements Planning (MRP) and Product Data Management (PDM) tools.
Required profile
- Administration experience within engineering, automotive, manufacturing or a similar environment.
- Strong organisational skills with an analytical mindset.
- Competent user of Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience with Navision or similar systems is advantageous.
- Ability to obtain and maintain Security Check (SC) clearance.
