Engineering Geologist – Durham

About the role

An established environmental consultancy in the North East is looking for an Engineering Geologist to join its specialist team in Durham. You will work on a diverse portfolio of residential, commercial and industrial projects, supporting your professional development and chartership ambitions.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct Phase 1 desktop studies and Phase 2 site investigations.
• Prepare factual and interpretive reports for clients.
• Perform borehole logging, groundwater and gas monitoring.
• Engage with clients throughout project delivery.
• Undertake fieldwork and contribute to project management tasks.

Required profile

• Degree in geology, engineering geology, civil engineering, geoscience, environmental science or a related discipline.
• Relevant experience as a geo‑environmental, engineering geologist or geotechnical consultant, both on‑site and in an office setting.
• Clean, valid UK driving licence and ability to commute to Durham.
