Engineering Manager – Commercial Vehicle Depot

About the role

We are looking for an Engineering Manager to lead our commercial vehicle engineering team at our Harrogate depot. You will ensure the fleet remains safe, reliable and ready to deliver high‑quality transport services across the North of England.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee all vehicle maintenance, servicing, inspections and repairs.
• Drive engineering standards and improve vehicle reliability.
• Maintain full compliance with DVSA and O‑Licence requirements.
• Achieve and sustain outstanding MOT performance.
• Plan shift patterns and on‑call arrangements for the engineering team.
• Manage engineering budgets and allocate resources efficiently.

Required profile

• Minimum Level 3 NVQ or equivalent City & Guilds qualification.
• Full driving licence (PCV licence preferred or obtainable).
• Proven experience leading engineering or maintenance teams.
• Strong organisational and communication abilities.
• Experience with buses or coaches is desirable.
