Engineering Manager

About the role

Assystem is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead the delivery of complex nuclear engineering projects across the full lifecycle, from design through commissioning. The role ensures timely hand‑over points, manages technical queries and design changes, and coordinates with all stakeholders to maintain safety and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver defined lifecycle hand‑over points (design, manufacture, delivery, commissioning) on schedule.
• Manage and resolve engineering issues such as Technical Queries, Early Warnings, Open Points, and design change requests.
• Engage approval bodies when safety cases are impacted and ensure proper documentation.
• Coordinate information exchange among all parties and prioritize queries for effective resolution.
• Provide engineering support throughout design, installation, and acceptance phases, escalating issues as needed.
• Support risk and opportunity management, including ARM processes.
• Drive technical resolution of manufacturing NCRs and oversee equipment qualification programmes.

Required profile

• Proven experience delivering technical leadership in complex, regulated environments, preferably nuclear energy.
• Strong awareness of integrated management systems and related policies.
• Ability to ensure high safety, security, and environmental responsibility.
