Engineering Manager - People & Procurement

About the role

The Engineering Manager – People & Procurement will own the engineering, operation and continuous evolution of technology capabilities that support workforce management, employee experience, supplier management and procurement. Reporting to the Principal Engineer – Corporate Technology, you will combine people leadership with technical direction to ensure platform health, security and scalability.

Key responsibilities

• Own engineering, operation and evolution of People & Procurement technology capabilities, including enterprise SaaS platforms, integrations and supporting services.
• Lead, coach and develop engineers, setting clear expectations and career development paths.
• Establish technical ownership across platforms, reduce key‑person dependencies and ensure security, resilience and scalability.
• Translate business priorities into engineering plans, balancing new features, technical debt and platform health.
• Manage vendor relationships, platform upgrades and lifecycle considerations while maintaining internal engineering ownership.

Required profile

• Significant experience leading engineering teams responsible for complex, business‑critical technology.
• Strong background with enterprise SaaS platforms and their ecosystems.
• Proven ability to provide both people leadership and technical direction, building capability and ownership within teams.
• Experience managing technology lifecycles from delivery through production operation and continuous improvement.
