Engineering Operations Manager – Corporate HQ

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Operations Manager to lead engineering services at a prestigious multi‑floor corporate headquarters in London Bridge. This senior leadership position is responsible for the safe, compliant and efficient delivery of building engineering and property maintenance.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage a multi‑skilled on‑site engineering team (engineers, fabric staff, apprentice) operating across a 7‑day rota.
• Take full ownership of engineering operations, service delivery and performance on site.
• Deliver planned and reactive maintenance programmes, ensuring compliance with statutory and contractual obligations.
• Drive KPI performance, work‑in‑progress control and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Act as the key operational interface with the client, maintaining strong stakeholder relationships.
• Lead health & safety, risk management and incident response across all engineering activities.
• Manage budgets, costs and commercial controls, ensuring transparency and efficiency.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing engineering or building operations in a complex commercial or corporate environment.
• Strong people leadership skills with experience managing technical teams.
• Solid understanding of planned preventive maintenance (PPM), reactive maintenance, compliance and health & safety.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and client‑facing capability.
• Engineering background (HV knowledge highly advantageous).
• Track record of delivering KPIs and improving performance.
• Desirable: experience within integrated FM or contracted services environments.
• Desirable: familiarity with CAFM systems and asset management tools.
• Desirable: relevant engineering or facilities management qualifications.
