English Teacher – Autumn Term (Full‑time Temporary)

About the role
We are looking for an enthusiastic English Teacher to join a secondary school in Upminster for the full Autumn term. The role is ideal for an early‑career teacher or an experienced practitioner seeking a well‑paid, short‑term placement.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging English lessons for Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
- Support students of all abilities in GCSE preparation and confidence building.
- Maintain a positive, structured, and inclusive classroom environment.
- Collaborate with the English department, support staff, and school leadership to meet departmental goals.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), QTLS, or equivalent UK teaching qualification (strong candidates will be considered).
- Degree in English Language/Literature or a related subject.
- Full availability for the entire Autumn term.
- Enhanced DBS check on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
- Right to work in the UK.
