About the role
Tradewind Recruitment is seeking a passionate English Teacher to join a secondary school in Knowsley starting September 2026. You will inspire students across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, fostering a love of literature and language while supporting their academic progress.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and creative English lessons for KS3 and KS4.
- Plan, prepare and assess student work in line with the national curriculum.
- Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all learners.
- Manage classroom behaviour according to school policies.
- Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Contribute to the wider school community and English department initiatives.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent (essential).
- Experience teaching English in a secondary school setting.
- Strong subject knowledge of English language and literature.
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
- A positive, professional and adaptable approach.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting student welfare.
