Entry Level IT Support Engineer – Primary Schools

About the role

Con Ed Ltd is looking for an enthusiastic Entry Level IT Support Engineer to provide on‑site and remote technical assistance to primary schools in Watford and the surrounding South West Hertfordshire area. You will work closely with school staff, ensuring their IT environments run smoothly throughout the term.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver first‑line IT support on‑site at 2‑3 schools daily and via phone/email.
• Monitor and maintain computer systems, networks and peripheral devices.
• Install, configure and upgrade hardware and software components.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software and application faults.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with school customers.
• Support larger projects and installations during school holidays.
• Perform some support tasks from home where appropriate.

Required profile

• Strong time‑management and ability to set priorities.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Methodical approach, good diagnostic skills and attention to detail.
• Previous experience in IT support is a definite plus.
