EV Charging Site Supervisor – South West (UK)

About the role

The EV Civils Site Supervisor / Build Manager will oversee the delivery of electric vehicle charging point (EVCP) installations across multiple live sites in the South West, primarily around Plymouth. This hands‑on, on‑site role ensures projects are completed safely, on schedule, and to the required quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day site activities for EVCP projects, including civil works, ducting, foundations, electrical containment and charger installations.
• Act as the primary on‑site representative for Bauer Energy, ensuring compliance with designs, RAMS and programme milestones.
• Monitor progress, flag delays or risks, and provide real‑time feedback to the Delivery/Operations Manager.
• Supervise excavation, trenching, back‑fill, compaction and reinstatement works to meet local authority and NRSWA standards.
• Conduct regular inspections, record defects and ensure timely rectification.
• Promote a strong health, safety and environmental culture, enforce CDM regulations and conduct site inductions, toolbox talks and safety briefings.
• Manage subcontractor compliance, street‑work permits, traffic management plans and coordinate with utilities, landlords and local authorities.

Required profile

• Valid full UK driving licence.
• NRSWA Supervisor qualification.
• Proven experience in civil and utilities works and EV infrastructure delivery.
• Ability to manage subcontractors, stakeholders and on‑site safety processes.
