About the role
We are seeking a motivated EYFS Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant early years team in Medway. This full‑time position supports the delivery of a creative, inclusive curriculum for children aged 3‑5.
Key responsibilities
- Assist the lead teacher in planning and delivering EYFS activities, including phonics sessions.
- Provide one‑to‑one and small‑group support to children, fostering confidence and independence.
- Supervise children during play, meals and outdoor activities, ensuring a safe environment.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, progress and any incidents.
- Contribute to the preparation of learning resources and classroom displays.
Required profile
- Level 3 qualification in Early Years or related field.
- Proven experience supporting children in an EYFS setting.
- Patient, caring approach with strong communication skills.
- Confident knowledge of current phonics schemes of work.
Required skills
- Knowledge of phonics curricula and early years teaching practices.
