Network Educator – Neonatal Education (Part‑time)

About the role

The South East Neonatal Operational Delivery Network, hosted by University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust, is seeking a part‑time Network Educator to support the Qualified in Specialty (QIS) Programme and other regional neonatal education initiatives. This fixed‑term, 12‑month position works 15 hours per week and is designed to complement an existing clinical nursing role.

Key responsibilities

• Design, deliver and evaluate neonatal education programmes across the South East region.
• Provide educational guidance and support to learners, educators and clinical teams.
• Collaborate with neonatal units, higher‑education institutions and key stakeholders to improve learning environments.
• Travel regularly throughout Kent, Surrey, Sussex, Thames Valley and Wessex to facilitate network activities.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of the QIS Programme.

Required profile

• Qualified neonatal professional with experience in clinical practice.
• Demonstrated passion for neonatal education and workforce development.
• Ability to work independently from home while undertaking regular regional travel.
• Strong communication and collaborative skills.
