Family Law Solicitor – Hybrid (Sheffield, Manchester, Bristol)

About the role

We are expanding our Family Law team and are looking for newly‑qualified (NQ) and associate solicitors to join Co‑op Legal Services. The role is hybrid, with one day a week in the office and the rest remote, and you will manage a mixed caseload of privately funded family matters.

Key responsibilities

• Take ownership of a mixed family law caseload from start to finish.
• Negotiate actively to achieve the best outcomes for clients.
• Record information accurately using our case management system.
• Meet individual and team chargeable‑time and profit targets.
• Draft and audit legal documents and correspondence.
• For senior or lead positions, provide line‑management, mentor junior staff, delegate work and act as a subject‑matter expert.
• Contribute to the department’s strategic positioning, marketing and promotion.

Required profile

• Qualified solicitor or CILEX qualified with experience in privately funded family law matters.
• Proven track record of meeting chargeable and billing targets.
• Strong attention to detail, organisational skills and resilience.
• Ability to work collaboratively and deliver excellent client service.

Required skills

• Proficiency with a case management system.
