Family Lawyer – 2+ PQE – Leeds – Up to £70k DOE

About the role

We are seeking a qualified Family Lawyer with at least two years of post‑qualification experience to join a nationally recognised, multi‑office firm in Leeds. The role offers a blend of publicly funded and private work, hybrid flexibility, and clear pathways for career progression.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a varied caseload of family and childcare matters, both legal aid and private.
• Advise clients on Care Proceedings, Public Law Outline (PLO) matters, Private Children Act proceedings, and domestic abuse applications such as Non‑Molestation and Occupation Orders.
• Handle cohabitation and unmarried couple disputes.
• Undertake own advocacy, including hearings where appropriate.
• Develop strong client relationships and contribute to business development and departmental growth.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years PQE with experience across a broad range of family and childcare issues.
• Strong understanding of legal aid and ability to manage a caseload with minimal supervision.
• Advocacy experience is highly desirable.
• Existing client following or progress towards panel accreditation viewed favourably.
• Commercially aware, personable, proactive with excellent communication and client‑care skills.
